Established in 1997 to meet local need for an adult community orchestra, the Saskatoon Philharmonic Orchestra performs two concerts a year.  Originally performing in various high school theatres, the orchestra has also performed at Persephone Theatre, Third Avenue United Church, Christ Church Anglican in beautiful downtown Saskatoon.  Upcoming concerts will be held at the Robert Hinitt Castle Theatre, located in Aden Bowman Collegiate, or alternatively at St. Joseph's High School.

The orchestra performs a variety of classical pieces, both by well-known composers and local talent.  Show tunes provide a light-hearted diversion from more serious fare.

The orchestra is composed of both amateur and professional musicians.
